E.R.T. / M.E.R.T. Training

Medical Emergency Response Teams or "MERT" are used the world over & especially in the U.S.. From large scale industrial complexes to volunteer teams for communities (C.E.R.T., N.E.R.T.). The teams are used for everything from campus response to illness' & injuries to industrial accident response to large scale disasters. These teams, whether industrial based or community based supplement the professional first responders when time is of the essence, as well as when those occasions arise that "911" is too busy to respond in a timely manner.

Response Team
We offer a complete Emergency Management program to include: Triage, ICS, Moulage - simulations. Realistic Drills feature Moulage make-up, incident scenes, and full simulation. (8-24hrs)

We take a PRACTICAL APPROACH TO EMERGENCY RESPONSE.

SEARCH & RESCUE (Urban)
In a disaster such as a collapse, 90% of those that will be saved will be rescued by bystanders in the first 12hrs. As a result, we have developed a "Lite" Search and Rescue program assist the bystander in making safe choices & employ effective search techniques. (3-6hrs)
INCIDENT COMMAND SYSTEM
ICS or INCIDENT COMMAND SYSTEM was originated in California to assist in the wildfire response program & is now the basis for incident coordination nationally. It is the basis for current programs such as NIMS & HICS. And it is designed to be able to expand & contract as needed. As a result it can benefit any sized need.      (3-6hrs)
INCIDENT ACTION    PLANS
IAPs (EAP) are an unfortunate necessity in a post 911 era. We can help develop, organize & initiate a plan that will meet the needs of your business, be a practical application, include only what you need & be easy to understand. Call us to set up a consultation.

Emergency Oxygen
Emergency Oxygen can be the difference between life & death in certain situations. You may think that a prescription is required & in most cases it is not. But training is required. (1-2hrs)
Taught alone or added to any other CPR / First Aid Class
Advanced First Aid(MERTs Primarily)

S.T.A.R.T. Triage Program
Simple Triage And Rapid Treatment (or START) is a program developed by the Huntington Beach Fire Department to assist in the sorting of large numbers of injured people by injury priority.   (3-6hrs)
Back-boarding Splinting & Packaging
After treating of the sick and injured, sometimes transportation or just movement from the site may be needed. The safest way for this to be done is to immobilize the body prior to moving it. (1-2hrs)
